Position: Integrated Development Environment (IDE) Lead
Location: Vadodara
Experience: 10+ Years
Work Mode: Hybrid (Work from Client Office)
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, integration, and enhancement of IDE and developer tooling solutions.
Drive technical solutions that improve developer experience, productivity, code quality, and software delivery efficiency.
Lead development and customization of IDE plugins, extensions, integrations, and developer workflows.
Provide technical leadership across code editing, build, debugging, testing, source control, and deployment workflows.
Evaluate and integrate modern IDE capabilities such as intelligent code completion, code analysis, refactoring, debugging, and developer automation.
Work closely with Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, Platform, Security, and Product teams to understand developer needs and deliver effective tooling solutions.
Guide and mentor engineers through technical design, development, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
Drive engineering standards, reusable tooling, automation, and continuous improvement across development teams.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of overall software engineering experience, with strong experience in developer tooling, IDE platforms, or engineering productivity solutions.
Strong understanding of modern Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) and software development workflows.
Experience working with IDE platforms such as IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio / VS Code, Eclipse, or similar development environments.
Experience developing or integrating IDE plugins, extensions, SDKs, APIs, or developer tools.
Strong understanding of compilers/build systems, debugging, code analysis, source control, testing, and development lifecycle tooling.
Good understanding of Git, CI/CD, build automation, and modern software engineering practices.
Proven ability to drive technical design and make architecture decisions for complex developer tooling solutions.
Strong technical leadership, mentoring, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred / Good-to-Have
Experience building enterprise-scale developer platforms or internal developer tooling.
Experience with cloud-based development environments and cloud-native developer tooling.
Exposure to AI-assisted development, coding assistants, intelligent code completion, or GenAI-based developer productivity tools.
Experience integrating IDEs with CI/CD, DevOps, security scanning, code quality, and observability platforms.
Understanding of Java, APIs, Microservices, containers, and Kubernetes.
Experience working in large-scale enterprise engineering environments, including Payments / FinTech, would be an advantage.
