About the Role
Holmium Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Project Engineer / Site Engineer to join our Project & Field Execution team.
The role involves installation, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting and execution of Solar SCADA, RMS, IoT, automation and monitoring systems at solar power plants and customer sites across India.
Freshers are welcome to apply. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a strong interest in practical engineering, troubleshooting and industrial automation.
Key Responsibilities
Execute installation and commissioning activities at solar power plants and customer sites.
Install and commission SCADA/RMS panels, RTUs, IoT gateways, data loggers, meters, sensors and communication equipment.
Configure and test field devices, RTUs and IoT gateways.
Perform testing and troubleshooting of RS485, RS232, Ethernet, Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP communication.
Integrate and troubleshoot inverters, energy meters, weather monitoring systems, PLCs and other field devices.
Perform point-to-point testing and verify data received from field devices.
Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, communication and networking issues.
Read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and SLDs.
Coordinate with customers, EPC contractors, electrical contractors and site teams.
Prepare daily site reports, commissioning reports, testing reports and punch-point reports.
Support project handover and closure activities.
Maintain proper site documentation and follow company safety procedures.
Travel to project sites across India and stay at sites as required for project execution.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of electrical/electronics systems.
Understanding of electrical wiring, sensors and instrumentation.
Basic knowledge of industrial communication and networking.
Understanding of RS485, Ethernet and Modbus will be an advantage.
Ability to read basic electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Willingness to travel and work at project sites.
Preferred Skills
Candidates with knowledge or exposure to any of the following will be preferred:
Solar PV power plants
SCADA / RMS
PLC / HMI
RTU / Data Logger
Modbus
Industrial Automation
IoT
Energy Meters
Inverters
Weather Monitoring Systems
Electrical & Instrumentation
Networking / TCP-IP
Knowledge of Python, Linux, SQL, cloud platforms or embedded systems will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
Who Can Apply?
B.Tech/B.E./Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, ECE, Instrumentation, Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics or related disciplines.
0–3 years of experience.
Freshers are encouraged to apply.
Candidates with experience in solar projects, SCADA, automation, electrical commissioning, instrumentation or IoT will be preferred.
