LLM Engineering Expert – AI Evaluation & Engineering Simulation

We are looking for experienced Engineering and AI Evaluation Experts to support an advanced AI research initiative focused on building and evaluating complex engineering tasks for next-generation AI systems.
This opportunity is suitable for professionals with strong engineering design experience, computational skills, and expertise in simulation-based workflows.
Role Overview
As an LLM Engineering Expert, you will:
Design complex engineering problems based on real-world workflows
Develop simulation-based tasks with multiple constraints and optimization goals
Build and validate computational environments using engineering simulation tools
Analyze AI agent outputs and identify reasoning or tool-use challenges
Create objective evaluation methods to assess technical correctness

Technical Skills
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields
10+ years of hands-on engineering design experience
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with simulation environments
Experience with tools such as:
ngspice
PySpice
OpenFOAM
FEniCSx
CalculiX
python-control
CadQuery
OpenModelica
Cantera
Gmsh
Experience with LLM evaluation, coding agents, failure analysis, or AI benchmarking is preferred

Strong understanding of engineering principles and simulation workflows
Ability to validate physical correctness, units, boundary conditions, and technical documentation
Experience analyzing technical outputs and identifying errors or improvement areas
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Engagement Details

Work Mode: Remote
Engagement: Contractor Assignment
Duration: Up to 24 weeks
Commitment: 40 hours/week with 4 hours PST overlap
