Sr Application Architect - Hadoop

For our client, we are seeking a Sr Application Architect - Hadoop to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This role will shape application architecture across complex platforms, with a strong focus on Hadoop-based solutions and broader system integration. You will partner with functional and technical teams to align designs to an architecture roadmap and ensure solutions support business and technology objectives. The position requires close collaboration across application, database, and middleware environments to improve integration, consistency, and coverage.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $112,200 – $202,600 annually
Responsibilities
Align project designs with the application architecture roadmap
Support teams in functional and technical design activities
Define interactions among application packages, databases, and middleware systems
Optimize product coverage through defined specifications
Act as a subject matter expert for product integrations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of IT experience, or Technical Certification with 7 years of IT experience, or 9 years of IT experience
Experience in application and product design
Proficient in application configuration
Proficient in development platforms/languages such as HTML, Java, and C#
Experience with cloud computing models such as SaaS or PaaS
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Bamboo and Jenkins
Knowledge of integration technologies such as TIBCO and Informatica
Experience with agile or scrum development methodologies
