Senior Cloud Architect

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space.
This role will drive secure cloud architecture strategy and hands-on engineering for mission-critical government applications. The architect will translate complex stakeholder requirements into scalable, supportable solutions across regulated environments. Working closely with cybersecurity, engineering, and DevSecOps partners, this individual will help strengthen production readiness, observability, and reusable design standards.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $131,300 – $237,350 annually
Responsibilities
Design and implement secure cloud architectures for government applications.
Translate diverse requirements into scalable, supportable cloud solutions.
Build, review, test, and troubleshoot critical cloud infrastructure components.
Lead technical problem resolution across application and cloud environments.
Maximize reuse of authorized services in cloud designs and integrate with cybersecurity teams.
Establish secure deployment patterns with engineering and DevSecOps teams.
Create reusable engineering assets such as infrastructure-as-code modules and technical standards.
Provide hands-on leadership in ensuring production readiness and system observability.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline; 12+ years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
Extensive hands-on Microsoft Azure architecture and engineering experience across a variety of services.
Experience delivering production systems in U.S. Government or similarly regulated environments.
Strong understanding of government cloud security and authorization, including zero trust and DoD RMF considerations.
Proven ability designing cloud landing zones and infrastructure-as-code implementations.
Experience with API integrations and multi-enclave solutions in cloud, enterprise, and restricted environments.
Experience developing reusable cloud architecture patterns for multiple teams and products.
