Director, Product Management - Search & Match

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Product Management - Search & Match to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space.
This role will own the strategy and roadmap for search and matching capabilities that improve the experience for both job seekers and employers in a two-sided marketplace. The ideal candidate will connect algorithm performance, product decisions, and business outcomes while partnering closely with engineering, UX, and leadership to shape execution and long-term impact. This is a highly visible role that requires strong storytelling, sharp prioritization, and the ability to align diverse stakeholders around a shared product vision.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $170,000 – $240,000 annually
Responsibilities
Define and own the multi-year strategy and roadmap for search and matching capabilities, linking advancements to business outcomes.
Drive discovery strategies for both job seekers and employers to enhance marketplace engagement.
Govern team capacity and prioritize features by balancing performance and efficiency.
Evaluate industry trends to position the matching engine as a market leader.
Translate complex data and algorithm performance into compelling executive narratives.
Foster strategic alignment across teams including Engineering and UX.
Lead product squads to ensure timely and high-quality execution of projects.
Establish performance metrics for search and matching accuracy.
Qualifications
8-10+ years in product management, with focus on two-sided marketplaces and recommendation systems.
Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills for influencing leadership.
Strong business acumen connecting algorithm performance to platform success.
Proven experience balancing B2C and B2B stakeholder needs in dual-sided settings.
Expertise in strategic resource allocation and managing engineering trade-offs.
Ability to build trust and align teams across diverse functions.
Experience coaching and mentoring product managers effectively.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical, quantitative, or business field.
