For our client, we are seeking a Financial Crimes Compliance Strategist to join the team of a leader in the Enterprise Technology space.
This role will help shape the organization’s financial crimes compliance approach by leading escalated investigations and strengthening the processes behind them. The position will partner closely with compliance, operations, and review stakeholders to ensure decisions are well documented, risk-based, and consistent. The strategist will also contribute to the development of scalable automation and AI-enabled workflows that improve quality, efficiency, and control in a fast-moving fintech environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually
Responsibilities
Lead investigations of escalated transaction-monitoring alerts and referrals
Recommend account actions based on financial crimes risk to the Account Review Board
Draft and file clear, evidence-based SARs and partner reports
Conduct peer reviews to enhance quality and consistency in investigations
Drive process improvements in investigation workflows and training
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable automation and AI capabilities
Adapt to other compliance workflows and due diligence reviews as needed
Qualifications
5+ years in BSA/AML advisory or operations teams, including 2+ years in investigations
Experience drafting and filing SARs with recommendations to leadership
1+ year conducting peer reviews of financial-crime investigations
In-depth knowledge of money-laundering and terrorist-financing typologies
Experience improving financial-crimes processes and standards
Fluent in AI, with the ability to design multi-step AI-assisted workflows
Prior experience in the fintech sector
