Bilingual, Regional Field Underwriting Consultant

For our client, we are seeking a Bilingual, Regional Field Underwriting Consultant to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This remote role will focus on evaluating complex life insurance cases, providing clear risk-based guidance, and supporting the advisor experience across a large regional market.
The consultant will partner closely with advisors, wholesalers, internal underwriters, and clients to deliver timely preliminary opinions and consistent case support.
With a strong sales-oriented mindset, this position helps strengthen relationships, improve service quality, and support sound underwriting decisions on high-value business.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 annually
Responsibilities
Conduct risk assessments in alignment with underwriting standards
Support advisors and clients with large life insurance cases
Help drive sales through strong advisor relationships
Prepare cover letters and respond to inquiries promptly
Engage clients to provide tailored preliminary opinions
Collaborate with internal underwriters to ensure quality consistency
Maintain positive relationships with partners and internal teams
Qualifications
15+ years of underwriting experience with large life insurance cases over $5 million
Proven underwriting track record with a sales-focused mindset
Strong understanding of insurance products and financial and medical guidelines
Experience reviewing financial reports and applying anti-money laundering practices
Collaborative approach with advisors and wholesalers
Bilingual in English and French for client communication
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
