P&C Actuary Lead Consultant (Reserving)

For our client, we are seeking a P&C Actuary Lead Consultant (Reserving) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This role will provide technical leadership in property and casualty reserving, with a strong focus on reserve analysis, methodology evaluation, and actionable insights for business partners. The position will lead complex actuarial work independently while helping shape decisions tied to claims operations, insurance market dynamics, and financial outcomes. It also offers the opportunity to mentor junior actuaries and strengthen the analytical capability of the broader team.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $100,000 – $170,500 annually
Responsibilities
Provide thought leadership and technical expertise in P&C reserving
Plan and manage complex actuarial projects with independence
Perform high-impact reserve analyses using advanced modeling techniques
Influence business decisions using knowledge of insurance markets and claims operations
Mentor junior team members and enhance the team's analytical skills
Evaluate reserving methodologies and communicate findings to stakeholders
Ensure quality control of data used in reserve analyses
Qualifications
ACAS or FCAS certification required
Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in actuarial roles
Proficiency in analytics related to Property & Casualty insurance
Strong understanding of reserving methodologies and statistical analysis
