Medical Science Liaison/ Sr. Medical Science Liaison

About the role
As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will play a key role in connecting Sobi’s scientific expertise with healthcare professionals and the wider medical community. You will build trusted, peer-to-peer relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other scientific stakeholders, exchange scientific insights and bring valuable field intelligence back to the organization.
Working closely with local, regional and global medical teams, you will contribute to the development and execution of medical activities across your territory. From scientific exchange and stakeholder engagement to advisory boards, investigator-sponsored studies and congress participation, you will help ensure that Sobi remains connected to the evolving scientific landscape and the needs of healthcare professionals and patients.
Key responsibilities
Establish and maintain trusted, scientifically driven relationships with KOLs, scientific experts, healthcare professionals and relevant medical societies within your territory.
Engage in high-quality, non-promotional scientific exchange and provide accurate, balanced and up-to-date medical information in line with Sobi’s standards and relevant requirements.
Develop and execute stakeholder engagement plans, identifying opportunities for meaningful scientific dialogue and collaboration.
Gather, analyze and communicate relevant scientific and medical insights from the field, contributing to local, regional and global medical strategies.
Support the planning and execution of scientific activities, including advisory boards, investigator-sponsored studies, medical projects and congresses.
Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Access and other cross-functional colleagues to support local and regional medical initiatives.
Represent Sobi at relevant scientific congresses, symposia and external forums, while continuously maintaining and expanding your knowledge of the therapeutic area.
About you
You are a scientifically curious and relationship-oriented professional who enjoys engaging in meaningful, peer-to-peer scientific exchange. You are comfortable discussing complex scientific topics with KOLs and other healthcare professionals and are passionate about building long-term, trusted relationships based on credibility and mutual learning.
You bring a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, combined with strong communication and networking skills. You enjoy working independently in the field while being an active member of a collaborative, cross-functional team. You are also curious about new scientific developments and motivated to turn insights from the field into value for patients and the wider organization.
Your background
Education, learning experience & work experience – Required:
University degree in Medical Science, Life Science or another relevant field.
3+ years of direct experience within the pharmaceutical environment.
Experience in Medical Affairs, or Sales
In-depth knowledge of the national healthcare system and relevant healthcare practices.
Experience in KOL management and account planning.
Proven ability to establish, develop and maintain networks with KOLs at national level.
Experience communicating and building effective relationships with relevant authorities.
Located within the territory: Rostock, Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden, Leipzig, Kulmbach, Nordhausen and surrounding areas.
Skills, knowledge & languages – Required:
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English in addition to the local language.
Proficiency in modern IT tools and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong interpersonal, networking and relationship-building skills.
Ability to communicate complex scientific information clearly and effectively to different audiences.
