Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Branch Credit Manager role based in Wanaparthy. The Branch Credit Manager is responsible for assessing and approving credit applications, evaluating customer financials, and ensuring adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines. The role involves monitoring branch credit portfolios, identifying early warning signals, and taking proactive steps to mitigate risk. Daily tasks include coordinating with sales and operations teams, ensuring timely processing of loan files, conducting credit checks and field investigations where required, and maintaining accurate documentation and records. The Branch Credit Manager also contributes to process improvements, supports audits, and provides regular reports and insights to senior management on credit performance and portfolio quality.
Qualifications
Strong credit assessment and risk analysis skills, including the ability to interpret financial statements and evaluate customer creditworthiness.
Proficiency in lending processes and products, with experience in retail or SME lending, underwriting, and portfolio monitoring.
Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to NBFCs and financial services in India.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with branch teams, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Solid organizational and analytical capabilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
Comfort with using financial software, credit assessment tools, and standard office applications (e.g., spreadsheets and MIS reporting tools).
Bachelor’s degree in finance, commerce, business administration, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or professional certification in finance or risk management is an advantage.
Relevant experience in credit, underwriting, or branch banking/financial services; prior NBFC experience is preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Wanaparthy, manage deadlines, and make sound decisions under time-sensitive conditions.
