Software Product Manager: Engineering & Development, Associate Director

For our client, we are seeking a Software Product Manager: Engineering & Development, Associate Director to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.
This role will own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for software capabilities that support engineering and development initiatives. You will partner closely with Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to translate market needs into clear requirements, prioritize features, and drive successful product delivery across the lifecycle. The position calls for someone who can combine product management discipline with a strong technical perspective to help shape solutions that perform in a complex, mission-driven environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $157,200 – $298,800 annually
Responsibilities
Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals.
Maintain clear product requirements and ensure timely delivery with the Engineering team.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities.
Translate market requirements into detailed product specifications and prioritize features.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective product development and launch.
Manage the product lifecycle from conception to end-of-life, including planning and testing.
Track product performance and make data-driven decisions for optimization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience with 12 years of prior experience; or an advanced degree with 10 years of experience.
10+ years in product management and/or software development.
Experience working with technical and cross-functional teams to deliver software products.
