Helium is building a new-age consumer electronics brand focused on making air conditioning smarter, more energy-efficient and more accessible. We are a fast-growing startup backed by leading investors and are building a high-performance team across product, technology, operations, sales, marketing and customer experience.
We are now a 30+ member team and growing rapidly. We are looking for our first dedicated People & HR professional to build the people function at Helium from the ground up.
What’s the role on offer?
We are looking for a People & HR Manager who can take ownership of the entire employee lifecycle - from hiring and onboarding to performance
management, culture and employee experience.
This is a hands-on builder role. You will not simply manage existing HR processes; you will create the systems, processes and culture that allow Helium to scale.
You will work closely with the founders and will have significant ownership of how we build and manage our team.
What you will own?
1. People Operations : Own the complete employee lifecycle - joining, onboarding, engagement
Maintain employee records, HRIS and personnel documentation Manage leave, attendance and payroll coordination Coordinate statutory and HR compliance with external partners.
2. Recruitment & Hiring: Own the end-to-end recruitment process and hiring pipeline . Build relationships with recruitment partners, colleges and relevant talent networks
3. Performance Management: Build and manage Helium’s performance management framework
Build processes for feedback, promotions and compensation reviews. Help create a culture of accountability and high performance
4. Employee Experience & Culture: Act as a trusted point of contact for employees. Build employee engagement initiatives and team rituals. Own onboarding experience and ensure new employees integrate.
Required criteria:
1. 2-4 years of experience in HR/People Operations
Experience in a startup or fast-growing org would be preferred.
2. Strong understanding of employee lifecycle and HR operations
3. Strong ownership mindset - someone who sees a problem and solves it.
