Project Director - Controls & Performance

Project Directors will lead a variety of commissions, managing the performance measurement, analysis and reporting function within major programmes. PCL’s are expected to be a highly experienced practitioner in performance management, with good understanding of the project controls disciplines of estimating, cost control, planning, risk and change control. You are able to design and implement systems and processes to deliver effective performance measurement and reporting. You have experience in developing a controls-based culture within organisations.
Duties
Typical activities include developing and implementing the performance measurement and reporting solution on major projects, providing specialist controls consultancy, advice on project controls systems and processes, training and project performance reviews.
Typically, a qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with eight or more years relevant experience or more than ten years’ experience in a project control environment.
Experience
Proven track record as a Project Controls Leader, a specialist in performance measurement and analysis and delivering successful solutions for clients. PCL’s should be proactive, with highly developed communications and analytical skills and able to promote a controls culture across a variety of organisations.
PCL’s should be highly conversant in both planning and cost engineering methodologies and be able to lead an integrated project control approach to be adopted by their teams and clients. In addition, they should be highly numerate and computer literate, highly competent in the use of project controls systems, familiar with the challenges of integrating project controls systems with other databases and systems. PCL’s should be able to pick up new systems readily and utilise them in highly effective ways
