Role Description The BIM Modeler will create and manage detailed Building Information Models to support architectural and MEP design, coordination, and construction documentation. This full-time hybrid role is based in Trivandrum, with the flexibility for some work-from-home days as project needs allow. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and updating BIM models, preparing coordinated construction drawings, and ensuring model accuracy according to project standards and client requirements. The BIM Modeler will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to identify and resolve clashes, maintain model integrity, and support design reviews. The role also involves adhering to BIM execution plans, documenting revisions, and contributing to continuous improvement of modeling workflows and standards.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows, with the ability to create, update, and manage project models.
Experience in Architecture and modeling (Modeler) for building projects, with an understanding of design intent and spatial coordination.
Knowledge of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their integration within BIM for coordinated multidisciplinary models.
Ability to produce clear, accurate Construction Drawings derived from BIM models, following project and industry standards.
Familiarity with common BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks or similar) and basic clash detection and coordination processes.
Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative project team.
Good communication skills for coordinating with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Services, or a related field; prior experience in BIM modeling for building projects is preferred.
