Consultant – Government Advisory | Skills & Livelihoods

About this Role
We are looking for an experienced Consultant with a strong government advisory background to join our core team. You will work on complex, large-scale assignments spanning skills, livelihoods, and economic empowerment — engaging directly with central and state government stakeholders, think tanks, and multilateral agencies. This role demands independent thinking, strong delivery instincts, and the ability to navigate government systems with confidence.
Responsibilities | What will you do
Lead government advisory assignments — policy analysis, strategy design, and programme planning across skills and livelihoods
Drive research and impact studies, and develop high-quality deliverables — reports, policy briefs, concept notes, and presentations — for government and institutional audiences
Support and manage PMU-style functions across large-scale assignments — coordination, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder liaison
Own your workstreams end to end, working closely with the founding team
Support in business development — proposals, EOIs, and client relationship management
What we are looking for
Master's degree in development studies, public policy, economics, business administration or a related field
Min. 3-5 years of full-time professional experience with clear, demonstrated experience with central / state govt, development banks, think tanks and other related stakeholders
Prior experience in Govt advisory, PMU roles or related consultancies working closely with client leadership
Strong research and analytical skills — ability to synthesize complex information and translate it into actionable recommendations
Adept at strategy design, impact studies, and large-scale programme management
Excellent written and verbal communication — reports, briefs, and presentations that are sharp, structured, and audience-ready
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver under pressure
