Role Description The Junior Project Coordinator is a part-time, remote role supporting research and administrative activities across neuroscience projects at the Del Monte Institute for Neuroscience. In this role, the coordinator assists with organizing project timelines, tracking milestones, and maintaining documentation to ensure that tasks are completed on schedule. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating virtual meetings, preparing agendas and notes, maintaining shared project files, and communicating updates to team members. The coordinator may help with basic data entry, compiling progress reports, and supporting outreach or communications related to research activities. This role involves regular collaboration with faculty, postdocs, and students and requires a proactive, detail-oriented approach to managing multiple responsibilities.
Qualifications
Project coordination and organizational skills, including scheduling, task tracking, and documentation.
Strong communication skills for collaborating with diverse research teams and preparing clear written updates.
Ability to use common digital tools and platforms (e.g., project management software, shared drives, video conferencing tools).
Attention to detail and reliability in managing data entry, record keeping, and follow-up activities.
Capacity to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple tasks.
Interest in neuroscience or biomedical research; prior experience in an academic or research setting is beneficial.
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., neuroscience, psychology, biology, public health, or related discipline), or equivalent experience.
