Role Description The Service Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. The Service Engineer will install, commission, inspect, and maintain pneumatic equipment and systems at customer locations. Daily tasks include diagnosing technical issues, performing repairs and preventive maintenance, and providing on-site technical support and guidance to operators. The role involves documenting service activities, preparing service reports, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of customer issues. The Service Engineer will also support safety practices, participate in equipment upgrades, and contribute to continuous improvement of service processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including on-site visits, customer interaction, and service documentation.
Candidates should possess solid Technical Support capabilities to assist customers with operational queries and system usage.
Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair skills for pneumatic systems, components, and related industrial equipment.
Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for working with customers, technicians, and internal teams.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering (or related field) is preferred.
Basic knowledge of pneumatic systems, industrial safety standards, and use of diagnostic tools is beneficial.
Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and travel to customer sites as needed.
