Role Description The NOC role at Bharti is a full-time, on-site position based in Chennai. This role involves monitoring network performance, identifying incidents, and responding to alerts in real time to maintain continuous service availability. Daily tasks include diagnosing network issues, coordinating with field and engineering teams, documenting incidents, and following escalation procedures. The NOC professional will track tickets, perform basic configuration checks, and support planned maintenance activities to minimize downtime. The role also includes preparing status reports, updating knowledge bases, and contributing to process improvements for network reliability.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Network Operations Center (NOC) activities and computer network operations to monitor and manage live network environments.
Candidates should possess skills in troubleshooting and technical support to investigate, diagnose, and resolve network-related incidents and user-reported issues.
Candidates should possess skills in network administration to perform routine checks, basic configurations, and support maintenance and upgrades.
Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls) and familiarity with monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
Relevant diploma or degree in electronics, telecommunications, computer science, or related field, with prior experience in a NOC or network support environment preferred.
Ability to work in shift-based schedules, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and follow standardized procedures and documentation practices.
