Senior Technical Analyst
Role Description
As a Senior Technical Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end delivery of robust, high-performing, and scalable solutions. You will be responsible for requirements gathering, technical analysis, design, development oversight, testing, go-live support, and production operations.
You will collaborate closely with domain architects, analysts, developers, testers, and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet both business and technical requirements, with a strong focus on quality, customer experience, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Analysis
Lead the understanding and clarification of functional and non-functional requirements by reviewing specifications and collaborating with domain architects, analysts, and stakeholders.
Conduct technical impact analysis and participate in high-level and low-level design activities.
Participate in estimation, staffing, solutioning, and scope clarification.
Conduct requirement workshops, identify gaps/issues, and translate business needs into system requirements.
Design & Development Oversight
Create and review IT designs, pseudocode, and prototypes.
Guide and review code, documentation, and unit test scripts.
Ensure high code quality through unit test plans and reviews.
Lead release implementation following change and release management processes.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers and team members.
Testing & Quality Assurance
Lead and participate in functional, integration, end-to-end, system, performance, automation, and user experience testing.
Review test scripts, documentation, and automation setups.
Manage test data, defects, automation strategy, and performance testing strategy.
Coordinate with business stakeholders to ensure appropriate test coverage.
Participate in test management, master test plans, and testing strategy documentation.
Go-Live & Production Support
Support go-live activities as per the implementation plan.
Analyze production issues, suggest and implement workarounds, and communicate with stakeholders.
Manage incidents and service requests within agreed timelines.
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA), process improvements, and effort estimation.
Track SLAs, verify fixes, and drive continuous improvement.
Knowledge Management & Leadership
Document and share project learnings and best practices.
Define and maintain knowledge management practices.
Train and guide team members on project processes.
Use knowledge bases and benchmarks to solve problems and develop high-level solutions.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
10+ years of relevant experience in technical analysis, software development, or related roles.
Experience in a telecommunications environment is an asset.
Strong understanding of Telco OSS is highly desirable.
Practical experience with TM Forum (TMF) standards and APIs is preferred.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum principles.
Technical Skills
Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, Postman, Swagger, Azure, and OpenShift.
Strong understanding of the complete SDLC: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
Experience with unit testing tools such as JUnit, Jasmine, and Karma.
Experience with automation testing tools such as Playwright, RestAssured, and TestNG.
Experience with integration testing tools such as SOAPUI.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.
Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle is a plus.
