Head of Cost

We are seeking an experienced Head of Cost to lead our cost management operations at our North Coast, Egypt facility. This is a strategic leadership position for a seasoned professional with over 20 years of expertise in cost control, financial analysis, and organizational optimization. The successful candidate will drive cost efficiency initiatives, manage financial performance, and lead a high-performing team while maintaining the highest standards of analytical rigor and professional excellence.
Develop and execute comprehensive cost management strategies aligned with organizational objectives and regional market conditions
Oversee budget planning, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure accurate cost projections and variance management
Lead cost reduction and optimization initiatives, identifying opportunities for operational efficiency and resource optimization
Manage and mentor a team of cost analysts and financial professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Conduct detailed financial analysis and prepare strategic reports for senior management and stakeholders
Implement and maintain cost control methodologies and best practices across all operational areas
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to analyze spending patterns and recommend cost mitigation strategies
Monitor and manage capital expenditure budgets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Stay current with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging cost management technologies
Minimum 20+ years of progressive experience in cost management, cost accounting, or financial management
Proven track record of successfully implementing cost reduction initiatives and achieving measurable financial results
Advanced proficiency in cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and budgeting methodologies
Strong leadership experience with demonstrated ability to build, develop, and motivate high-performing teams
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques
Advanced knowledge of ERP systems and cost management software platforms
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey financial information to diverse audiences
Strategic thinking capability with a visionary approach to cost optimization
Preferred: Experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors
Preferred: Familiarity with Middle Eastern business practices and regional market dynamics
