Job Summary:
Panelmatic Inc. is seeking a Assembly Technician - Switchgear is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting low-voltage and medium-voltage switchgear equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and quality standards. This role requires electrical and mechanical assembly experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Job Duties:
Assemble switchgear lineups, electrical enclosures, and power distribution equipment according to engineering specifications.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials (BOMs).
Install and mount breakers, bus systems, relays, switches, transformers, metering devices, and associated components.
Verify proper alignment, torque, labeling, and installation of electrical and mechanical components.
Maintain production documentation and quality records.
Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company quality standards.
Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
Assist with packaging, shipment preparation, and inventory activities as needed.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED.
2+ years of experience in electrical assembly, switchgear manufacturing, control panel assembly, or related industrial production.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and electrical test equipment.
Knowledge of electrical components, power distribution systems, and wiring practices.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
US work authorization without sponsorship required
Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required
Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
Ability to stoop and bend required
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a time required
Excellent manual dexterity required
