CNC Turning Operator

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CNC Turning Operator role based in Coimbatore. The CNC Turning Operator will set up and operate CNC turning machines to produce precision components according to technical drawings and process sheets. Daily tasks include loading and unloading materials, selecting tools, setting offsets, adjusting cutting parameters, and monitoring machine operations to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish. The role involves performing basic inspections using measuring instruments, recording production data, and reporting any deviations or equipment issues. The CNC Turning Operator will also carry out routine machine cleaning, follow safety and quality standards, and collaborate with supervisors and quality personnel to meet production targets.
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and work instructions.
Hands-on experience with CNC turning machines, including setup, tool selection, and operation.
Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and dial indicators.
Understanding of basic machining principles, cutting parameters, tolerances, and surface finishes.
Commitment to safety practices, housekeeping standards, and proper handling of tools and materials.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to identify and report process or quality issues.
Willingness to work in shifts, meet production deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities on the shop floor.
Previous experience in a machining or manufacturing environment; exposure to CNC programming or editing is a plus.
Relevant technical diploma, trade certificate, or equivalent practical experience in mechanical or production fields.
