Backend & Infrastructure Engineer

Looking for an exceptionally strong Backend + Infrastructure Engineer to build and scale reliable backend systems and cloud infrastructure. The role involves deep hands-on work across Node.js, Python, AWS, and PostgreSQL, with a preference for engineers who have experience in AI or security-focused environments.
What You'll Do
Build and scale backend services using Node.js and Python
Design and maintain AWS-based infrastructure
Build reliable APIs, services, and data systems
Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases
Improve system scalability, reliability, performance, and security
Own production deployments, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution
Work across backend and infrastructure to solve complex technical problems
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver production-ready systems
Must have
4–8 years of strong backend/infrastructure engineering experience Strong Node.js and/or Python development experience Strong hands-on experience with AWS Strong PostgreSQL and database design experience Experience building scalable, reliable backend systems Strong understanding of system design, APIs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure Experience with production deployments, monitoring, debugging, and performance optimization Strong ownership and ability to work independently
Good to have
Experience working at an AI/ML or cybersecurity company Experience building AI/LLM-backed products or infrastructure Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform or other IaC experience CI/CD and DevOps experience Experience with high-scale or distributed systems Experience with security, authentication, authorization, or data protection Startup experience with strong end-to-end ownership
