Position: Bioinformatics / Computational Genomics Expert
Type: Contractor Assignment
Compensation: USD 42/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 40 hours per week
Time-Zone Overlap: 4 hours with PST per day

Role Responsibilities
Design realistic and model-challenging tasks in computational genomics and bioinformatics.
Build multi-step analyses using Python, command-line tools, and established bioinformatics libraries.
Create reproducible datasets, task specifications, reference solutions, and objectively verifiable grading criteria.
Develop problems requiring AI agents to interpret biological data, execute code, and work across scientific files.
Validate scientific correctness, reproducibility, and task difficulty for frontier AI systems.
Requirements
Ph.D., postdoctoral, or equivalent research experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, Computational Genetics, or a closely related discipline.
Strong hands-on programming experience in Python.
Experience analyzing biological sequence or genomics datasets.
Proficiency with established bioinformatics tools and libraries.
Comfort working in Linux and command-line computational environments.
Ability to build and validate reproducible computational analyses.
