Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Snowflake Data Engineer for a high-priority client requirement with DXC. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Chennai, requiring 7+ years of experience in data engineering and strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake and AWS data services.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and end-to-end cloud data solutions. The role requires strong experience with Snowflake, Python, AWS Glue, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, IAM, data modeling, data warehousing, and performance tuning. The candidate will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and data professionals to deliver reliable, scalable, secure, and high-quality data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Python, and AWS services.
Build and maintain AWS Glue Jobs, Crawlers, and Data Catalog solutions.
Develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines for integrating data from multiple sources.
Design effective data models and cloud data warehouse solutions.
Optimize Snowflake queries, workloads, and overall data pipeline performance.
Work with AWS S3, Lambda, and IAM for cloud-based data processing and integration.
Design scalable end-to-end data engineering solutions.
Implement data quality, security, and reliability best practices.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.
Contribute to automation, CI/CD, and data engineering best practices.
Document technical solutions and support knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Skills
7+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
Strong Python skills for scripting, data processing, and automation.
Hands-on experience with AWS Glue – Jobs, Crawlers, and Data Catalog.
Strong experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines.
Experience with AWS S3, Lambda, and IAM.
Strong knowledge of data modeling and data warehousing.
Experience in performance tuning and optimization.
Proven experience designing scalable end-to-end data solutions.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in Healthcare Data Analytics / Specialty Pharmacy domain.
Knowledge of AWS Step Functions or Apache Airflow.
Experience with CI/CD and Git.
Knowledge of data quality and data observability tools.
