Role Description The Architect will be responsible for developing design concepts, preparing architectural drawings, and coordinating project documentation from early sketches through to construction details. Day-to-day tasks include meeting with clients to understand requirements, collaborating with internal design teams and external consultants, and ensuring designs align with regulatory standards and project budgets. The role involves regular site visits to review progress, resolve design issues, and work closely with contractors and skilled labor to maintain design intent and quality. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, requiring close engagement with projects, clients, and the broader project team.
Qualifications
Strong architectural design and concept development skills, with proficiency in creating detailed drawings and design presentations.
Ability to work through all project stages, including schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
Experience collaborating with clients, consultants, and contractors, with strong communication and coordination abilities.
Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and local approval processes; attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Proficiency in relevant architectural design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar software).
Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects or deadlines.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; professional licensure or registration is an advantage.
Interest in innovative design approaches, sustainable practices, and hands-on collaboration with skilled labor and craftspeople.
