Software Development Intern - 100& Remote

Most developers working with AI are building demos. We're building something people actually use.
We have a live, production AI agent used by finance teams. It reasons, plans, confirms, and executes, all through a chat. Real users. Real consequences if it breaks.
We're looking for someone who wants to learn how that gets built, and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty doing it.
This is not a corporate internship. No coffee runs, no busywork, no watching from the sidelines. You'll work directly on the same codebase our engineers ship to production — with guidance, code review, and room to ask questions. Work when you want, from wherever you want. We care about what you learn and what you ship, not where you sit.
The stack is frontier: Claude and Gemini APIs, multi-turn agent reasoning, tool use, async Python on Azure, Microsoft Teams bot integration. You won't just read about this stuff — you'll build with it.
What you'll actually do
Help build and improve pieces of the agent engine: reasoning loops, tool orchestration, conversation state
Write and test LLM integration code: prompts, structured outputs, multi-turn flows
Ship small, real features in async Python on Azure — reviewed by the team before they go live
Learn how a production AI system is kept safe and reliable, not just how to make a demo work
Talk directly to the founders. Ask questions. Get feedback fast.
What you need
Currently studying / recently finished Computer Science or a related field
Some real experience with Python — class projects, personal projects, or work experience all count
Curiosity about how LLMs and AI agents work under the hood
Comfortable saying "I don't know, let me find out"
Useful but not required
Any exposure to LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini — anything counts)
Async Python (FastAPI or similar)
Git and basic software engineering practices
