Power BI Developer / Consultant Outside IR35

Fully Remote - Outside IR35 - 6 months with potential extension.

Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Power BI Consultant Contract Outside IR35. The consultant will design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering requirements, building and optimizing data models, implementing ETL processes, and integrating multiple data sources into robust BI solutions. The role also involves validating data, troubleshooting performance issues, documenting solutions, and providing guidance or training to users on best practices in analytics and reporting. The consultant will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure deliverables are aligned with business objectives, timelines, and compliance standards.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data sets and communicate clear insights.
Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools to integrate and cleanse data from multiple sources.
Proficiency in designing and building interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI or similar BI platforms.
Solid understanding of data modeling concepts, including star schemas, relationships, and performance optimization.
Knowledge of data warehousing principles and architectures to support scalable reporting and analytics.
Experience with DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL for data transformation and advanced calculations.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and meet agreed delivery timelines.
Clear and confident communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Prior consulting experience or exposure to working Outside IR35 engagements is advantageous.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
