Role Description This part-time, remote role for a Licensed Landscape Architect is based in California. The Landscape Architect will support the design and documentation of exterior spaces, including schematic and detailed design, and preparation of planting plans and construction drawings. Responsibilities include collaborating with the founder and consultants, creating CAD plans and details, integrating sustainable design principles, simple 3D models, graphic renderings, InDesign presentations. The position requires strong visual communication skills, attention to detail, and active participation in studio design discussions.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skills in Landscape Architecture and Landscape Design, with experience translating concepts into detailed plans.
Proficiency in Landscape design, including site analysis, programming, and spatial organization for a variety of project types.
Hands-on experience with Landscaping and implementation practices, including coordination with contractors and review of installations.
Ability to develop clear, accurate Planting Plans, with strong knowledge of plant selection, ecology, and climate-appropriate species for California.
Current California Landscape Architect license, and willing to stamp permit drawings.
Proficiency in relevant design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D visualization tools).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a closely related field.
Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present design ideas to clients and collaborators.
Experience with sustainable and ecological design strategies, including water-wise planting and resource-conscious materials.
Ability to work collaboratively in a remote studio environment and manage multiple projects and deadlines responsibly.
