Role Description The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Morbi, responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations within the FIBC production facility. This role includes planning and scheduling production activities, monitoring workflows, and ensuring that output meets quality, safety, and delivery targets. The Production Manager coordinates with procurement, maintenance, quality control, and logistics teams to secure materials, maintain equipment readiness, and optimize production efficiency. Key responsibilities include managing and guiding production staff, tracking performance metrics, resolving operational issues, and implementing process improvements to minimize downtime and waste. The role also involves maintaining compliance with relevant standards, preparing reports for management, and supporting strategic decisions related to capacity planning and resource utilization.
Qualifications
Strong production management skills, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of manufacturing activities.
Proficiency in supervising and mentoring shop-floor teams, with the ability to allocate tasks, manage shifts, and address performance issues.
Experience with quality assurance practices, inspection procedures, and adherence to industry standards within a manufacturing environment.
Ability to analyze production data, monitor KPIs, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Knowledge of safety regulations, workplace health and safety practices, and risk mitigation in a factory setting.
Familiarity with production machinery, basic maintenance coordination, and troubleshooting operational bottlenecks.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams such as procurement, maintenance, and logistics.
Comfort with using basic computer applications and production-related systems for reporting, documentation, and planning.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Prior experience as a Production Manager, Shift In-charge, or similar role in manufacturing; FIBC or packaging industry experience is an advantage.
