Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Veterinary Surgeon role based in Bathinda. The Veterinary Surgeon will perform soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, manage anesthesia and pain control, and provide pre- and post-operative care for a variety of animal patients. Daily responsibilities include conducting clinical examinations, diagnosing medical conditions, prescribing treatments, and overseeing inpatient care. The role involves communicating clearly with pet caregivers about diagnoses, treatment plans, surgical procedures, and home care instructions. The Veterinary Surgeon will also collaborate with the clinic team on case discussions, maintain accurate medical records, support preventive health initiatives, and adhere to clinic protocols and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
Strong clinical foundation in Veterinary Medicine and Medicine, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and case management.
Demonstrated proficiency in Veterinary Surgery, including routine and advanced surgical procedures and perioperative care.
Competence in Laboratory Skills for conducting and interpreting common diagnostic tests and supporting evidence-based decisions.
Solid understanding of Pet Care, including preventive health, nutrition, behavior, and client education.
Recognized veterinary degree (e.g., BVSc or equivalent) and valid license/registration to practice veterinary medicine as required by local regulations.
Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with clients and team members, with strong record-keeping and organizational skills.
Willingness to participate in continuing education, learn new techniques, and work flexibly, including occasional extended hours if needed for patient care.
Previous experience in a clinical veterinary setting or internship/residency in small animal practice is an advantage.
