We are seeking a Full Stack Jr. Software Engineer to join our dynamic team and help us build, maintain, and improve our internal and external systems. Strong English communication skills are required, as you'll be working closely with our US-based team in daily operations.
As a Full Stack Jr. Software Engineer at School Basics, you help design, implement, and optimize systems that power critical applications for daily operations, including:
Infrastructure: Build and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance systems (ERP) to ensure operational reliability.
Platform: Develop robust APIs and developer tools to improve team efficiency and scalability.
Product: Engineer backend services that support customer-facing services to deliver seamless user experiences.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend systems that support key business operations.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Work with databases, internal APIs, and backend services to ensure performance and scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend functionality.
Participate in code reviews, system testing, and contribute to best practices in backend development.
Brings experience across different programming languages and technologies, with a flexible and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
Ensure reliable documentation and maintain clean, well-organized codebases.
Contribute to improving our data capture capabilities and product features.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications:
Fluent in English is a must (written and spoken)
3 years of professional experience in full stack development
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Proficient in at least one of the following: Node.js, Python, or Java
Adaptable to working with multiple technologies when required.
Strong experience with: SQL databases, git version control, RESTful APIs
Excellent problem-solving skills
Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
Able to work independently while remaining open to feedback and guidance.
Nice to Have:
Experience helping develop and maintain marketing landing pages and lead capture forms.
Exposure to working with marketing teams to implement campaign tracking and monitor performance. (Marketing technology integrations, analytics tracking, or CRM tools)
