Platform Architect

Product / Platform Architect
Own the technical architecture of an enterprise operations platform spanning agentic workflows, integrations, knowledge systems, distributed services, and customer-hosted Kubernetes deployments. This is a hands-on architecture role.
Responsibilities
Own platform architecture, service boundaries, interfaces, and major technical decisions.
Guide architecture across agent orchestration, knowledge graph, integrations, APIs, data services, and deployment.
Ensure the platform remains deployable across cloud VPC, on-premises, and restricted environments.
Define patterns for retries, idempotency, state management, failure recovery, auditability, security, and observability.
Maintain abstraction from individual LLM providers and external tool vendors.
Review major designs and critical code.
Identify and prioritize architectural debt.
Work with engineering and product on technical feasibility and sequencing.
Mandatory technical skills and experience
10+ years building production software, including significant distributed-systems experience.
Demonstrated architecture ownership for a production platform.
Strong knowledge of:
*distributed systems
*event-driven and asynchronous architectures
*APIs and service boundaries
*Kubernetes and containers
*cloud networking
*authentication, authorization, RBAC, secrets and auditability
*production observability and troubleshooting
Working understanding of:
*LLM application architecture
*tool calling and agent workflows
*retrieval/context architectures
*model abstraction
*human-in-the-loop execution
Experience evolving an existing platform, not only designing greenfield systems.
Strong enough coding ability to inspect, prototype, debug, and review production code.
Preferred
SRE, DevOps, observability, infrastructure, or incident-management experience.
Knowledge graphs or graph databases.
Customer-hosted enterprise software.
AI/agentic systems in production.
