Embedded Software Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Embedded Software Engineer with 0–1 year of experience to join our R&D and product development team.
The candidate will work on embedded systems, firmware development, hardware-software integration, testing, troubleshooting, and internal product development. This role provides an opportunity to work on real-world industrial and technology products from concept to prototype and production.
The candidate should be willing to travel to customer/project sites when required for installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain embedded firmware/software.
- Work with microcontrollers and embedded platforms such as STM32, ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar platforms.
- Write and maintain firmware using C/C++ and Python where applicable.
- Interface microcontrollers with sensors, motors, relays, displays, communication modules, and other electronic components.
- Work with communication protocols such as:
- UART
- SPI
- I²C
- CAN
- RS-232 / RS-485
- Modbus
- Ethernet / TCP-IP basics
- Support hardware-software integration and debugging.
- Read and understand basic circuit diagrams and electronic schematics.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting of prototypes and developed products.
- Assist in developing internal tools, test programs, and engineering utilities.
- Participate in R&D and internal product development projects.
- Document firmware, testing procedures, configurations, and technical findings.
- Support field installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation when required.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical/electronics, software, and R&D teams.
- Participate in product improvement and design-development activities.
Required Skills
Technical
- Basic programming knowledge in Embedded C/C++.
- Understanding of microcontrollers and embedded systems.
- Basic knowledge of sensors, actuators, relays, motors, and electronic components.
- Understanding of UART, SPI, I²C and basic serial communication.
- Basic debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with IDEs and tools such as STM32CubeIDE, Arduino IDE, PlatformIO, VS Code, or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of Git/version control is preferred.
- Ability to understand datasheets and technical documentation.
Software
Knowledge of any of the following will be an advantage:

Candidate Profile
- 0–1 year of experience in embedded systems, firmware, electronics, or a related field.
- Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects are encouraged to apply.
- Degree/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or related engineering discipline.
- Strong interest in product development and R&D.
- Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and work across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently when assigned a task.
Travel & Site Work
The candidate must be willing to travel to customer/project sites within India and, when required, outside the local area.
Site activities may include:
- Product installation
- Commissioning
- Testing and validation
- Firmware updates
- Troubleshooting
- Customer/project support
- Prototype testing
Travel may be required depending on project requirements.
Internal Product Development
A major part of this role will involve internal R&D and product development.
The engineer may work on:
Concept → Prototype → Firmware Development → Hardware Integration → Testing → Debugging → Field Validation → Product Improvement
The candidate will have opportunities to work with cross-functional teams involving embedded software, electronics, mechanical design, IoT, automation, and product engineering.

- B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma in Electronics & Communication, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or related fields.

Freshers with strong academic projects, internships, or personal embedded projects are welcome.
