Role Overview
As the Vice President of Global Information Technology, you will be responsible for defining, driving, and executing the enterprise-wide technology strategy and digital transformation roadmap across our global business units. Reporting directly to the Group CIO, you will champion innovation by modernizing enterprise platforms, optimizing cloud infrastructure, implementing advanced cybersecurity standards, and leveraging AI/automation to propel global business growth.
This is a Hybrid role based in the United States, offering a blend of remote work flexibility and collaborative on-site executive leadership as required.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic IT Leadership: Develop and execute a scalable global IT strategy aligned with PEL’s overarching corporate goals and digital transformation objectives.
Enterprise Infrastructure & Cloud: Oversee global IT infrastructure, cloud computing environments (AWS/Azure), enterprise platform modernization, and network performance.
Application & Platform Governance: Drive execution for critical enterprise platforms (such as SAP HANA, Salesforce CRM, and workflow automation frameworks) in complex, regulated environments.
Cybersecurity & Data Integrity: Enhance global cybersecurity postures (SOC, risk assessments), ensuring stringent data privacy, disaster recovery, and compliance across various international markets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with global executive leadership, acting as a strategic advisor to optimize technology investments, operational agility, and cross-border tech integration.
Vendor & Budget Management: Manage global IT vendor relationships, contract negotiations, strategic partnerships, and capital/operational expenditure (CAPEX/OPEX) budgets.
Team Empowerment: Lead, mentor, and upscale a diverse team of distributed IT professionals globally, fostering an innovative, high-performance technology culture.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business Administration (MBA preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 12–15+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership, with a proven track record of managing global IT infrastructure in large-scale enterprises.
Industry Background: Deep experience in heavily regulated sectors, preferably in Financial Services (BFSI), Pharmaceuticals (Life Sciences), or high-tech global manufacturing.
Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of Cloud Ecosystems (AWS/Azure), Enterprise Architecture (ERP/CRM), Data Analytics, Industry 4.0, and advanced Cybersecurity frameworks.
Leadership Capabilities: Exceptional communication, change management, and stakeholder influence skills, with the ability to manage hybrid/remote global tech teams seamlessly.
