Senior Associate Lawyer

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Law Chambers (TLC), a multi-dimensional law firm, is looking to hire Legal Professionals with 2–5 years of post-qualification experience, having experience in litigation as well as corporate and commercial transactions.
The role will involve working across the firm’s litigation and transactional practices and will provide exposure to a diverse range of contentious and non-contentious matters. The candidate will be expected to independently handle assigned matters and work closely with the Partners and clients.
The role and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Litigation & Dispute Resolution
Drafting, reviewing and settling pleadings, petitions, applications, affidavits, notices, written submissions and other legal documents;
Conducting legal research and preparing case briefs, legal opinions and written arguments;
Filing and appearing in matters before Civil Courts, Criminal Courts, High Courts, NCLT and other judicial and quasi-judicial forums;
Assisting in commercial disputes, arbitration, insolvency and other corporate and civil litigation matters
Corporate & Commercial Transactions
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and corporate agreements;
Assisting in corporate transactions, investments, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and other strategic transactions;
Conducting and assisting with legal due diligence, including review of corporate records, material contracts, statutory compliances, litigation and regulatory matters;
Preparing due diligence reports, issue lists, transaction checklists and closing documentation;
Advising clients on day-to-day corporate, commercial and contractual matters;
Assisting with negotiations and correspondence with clients, counterparties, consultants and other stakeholders;
Identifying and advising on contractual, regulatory and legal risks arising in commercial transactions.
EXPERIENCE
The Law Chambers is looking for candidates with 2–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience, preferably with meaningful exposure to both litigation/dispute resolution and corporate/commercial transactions.
Candidates with experience in commercial litigation, arbitration, insolvency, corporate transactions, M&A, due diligence and contract drafting will be preferred.
REMUNERATION
Remuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience, qualifications and industry standards.
