Role Description This is a full-time remote Accountant role responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations for A & F Property Group Ltd. The Accountant will prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. The role involves producing regular financial reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. The Accountant will monitor cash flow, track property-related income and expenses, and support month-end and year-end closing activities. This position also requires collaboration with management and external partners to provide financial analysis that informs business decisions and helps optimize operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong financial accounting skills, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management within a small or medium-sized business environment.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and solid Microsoft Excel skills.
Knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in handling financial data.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple deadlines in a remote setting.
Relevant professional qualification or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; part-qualified or qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA is an asset.
Experience in the property or real estate sector is advantageous but not essential.
