Role Description The Staff Nurse role is a full-time, on-site position based at 24 hrs cm hospital in Chennai. The Staff Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessment, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring vital signs. Daily responsibilities include maintaining accurate medical records, coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and supporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The Staff Nurse will educate patients and families about treatment plans, discharge instructions, and preventive health practices. The role also involves adhering to infection control protocols, hospital policies, and ethical standards while contributing to a safe and supportive clinical environment.
Qualifications
Valid nursing registration/license and completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, GNM, or B.Sc Nursing).
Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, basic life support, medication administration, and routine nursing procedures.
Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of hospital protocols, infection control practices, and documentation standards.
Willingness to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by a 24-hour facility.
Ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritize tasks, and respond effectively in emergency situations.
Prior experience in hospital or acute care settings is preferred but not mandatory for promising early-career professionals.
Basic computer skills for electronic medical records and willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
