SAS AML Developer

Job Description
Experienced SAS AML Developer to support a large-scale Anti-Money Laundering (AML) transformation program. The team will be responsible for implementing business-driven AML enhancements, including customer segmentation, development of new transaction monitoring scenarios, enhancement of existing detection models, prep jobs, and AML platform customization.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance AML detection scenarios within the SAS AML 7.1 / 7.2 platform.
Build and maintain customer segmentation models and risk-based monitoring logic.
Develop and modify AML prep jobs, datasets, and data processing workflows.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical AML solutions.
Configure and tune transaction monitoring scenarios, rules, thresholds, and risk scoring logic.
Perform unit testing, SIT/UAT support, defect resolution, and production readiness activities.
Collaborate with AML business, compliance, and technology teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Support deployment and production implementation activities.
Required Skills
Hands-on experience with SAS AML (Version 7.1 or 7.2).
Strong experience in building and customizing AML scenarios.
Expertise in Base SAS programming.
Strong SQL and Oracle Database experience.
Experience with Unix/Linux scripting.
Understanding of AML transaction monitoring, suspicious activity detection, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Experience working with large-scale banking or financial services AML programs.
Preferred Skills
Experience with SAS DataFlux development and integration.
