About the Role
APEXWEBSOFT is hiring a *Web Developer* with 1.5–3 years of hands-on experience in *PHP, Laravel, WordPress, Shopify, and MySQL*. The ideal candidate should be capable of developing, customising, maintaining, and optimising websites while delivering clean, scalable, and reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain web applications using *PHP and Laravel*.
* Develop and customise *WordPress themes and plugins* based on project requirements.
* Work on *Shopify websites*, including theme customisation and modifications.
* Write clean, secure, reusable, and well-documented *PHP code*.
* Work with *MySQL*, including database queries, management, and optimisation.
* Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise existing websites and web applications.
* Build responsive layouts using *HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap*.
* Integrate *REST APIs* and third-party services.
* Implement website performance, security, and speed optimisation.
* Work with WordPress *hooks, filters, Custom Post Types (CPTs), ACF, and WooCommerce*.
* Analyse project requirements and convert them into effective technical solutions.
* Debug and resolve technical issues efficiently.
* Collaborate with designers, project managers, and developers to ensure timely project delivery.
Required Skills & Expertise
* *1.5–3 years of professional experience in web development.
* Strong hands-on experience with *PHP and Laravel*.
* Strong experience in *WordPress development*, including custom themes and plugins.
* Practical experience with *Shopify development and theme customisation*.
* Strong knowledge of *MySQL*.
* Proficiency in *HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap*.
* Experience with WordPress *hooks, filters, CPTs, ACF, and WooCommerce*.
* Experience integrating *REST APIs and third-party services*.
* Familiarity with *Git / Bitbucket*.
* Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with attention to detail.
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in *Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field* is preferred.
