Role Description The Team Lead – Payment Posting is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad area. This role is responsible for supervising a payment posting team, allocating workloads, and ensuring daily targets and quality standards are met. Typical responsibilities include overseeing the posting of insurance payments, patient payments, adjustments, and denials into client systems; reconciling posted amounts with bank deposits and remittance advices; and resolving posting discrepancies. The team lead will monitor team performance, provide coaching and feedback, and support training for new team members. The role also involves coordinating with internal stakeholders and client contacts, preparing daily/weekly reports, and ensuring adherence to compliance, data security, and client-specific guidelines.
Qualifications
Strong experience in healthcare payment posting or revenue cycle management, including handling ERA/EOBs, adjustments, and denials.
Proficiency with medical billing or practice management systems and intermediate skills in MS Excel and other reporting tools.
Demonstrated team leadership skills, including workload management, performance monitoring, coaching, and conflict resolution.
Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume environment.
Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including investigating posting issues and recommending process improvements.
Prior experience in an on-site, healthcare BPO/KPO, or RCM setup is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in commerce, finance, business, or a related field is beneficial.
Willingness to work in aligned shifts, adhere to compliance and data privacy standards, and participate in continuous learning.
