Role Description
We're hiring a full-time, remote Energy Modeler to prepare Title 24 compliance documentation for residential and commercial projects using EnergyPro. You'll review architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans, build accurate energy models, and produce compliance reports.
Day-to-day, you'll work closely with our project managers, field technicians, and clients to clarify project details, resolve plan discrepancies, and recommend cost-effective ways to achieve compliance. You'll also maintain organized project records, stay current on Title 24 code updates, and help us refine our modeling workflows and QC processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience performing Title 24 energy modeling in EnergyPro
- Strong working knowledge of California Title 24, Part 6, including current-cycle residential and nonresidential requirements
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans
- Solid understanding of building envelopes, HVAC systems, water heating, and lighting as they relate to compliance
- Experience generating CF1R/NRCC documentation and understanding of ECC verification requirements
- Strong attention to detail with a disciplined approach to data entry and quality control
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote environment
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication with contractors, clients, and internal staff
Preferred Qualifications
- CEA (Certified Energy Analyst) or similar certification
- Experience with CBECC-Res or CBECC-Com
- Background in energy consulting, building science, or construction
