Role Description The Articled Assistant will support the firm’s audit, taxation, and accounting engagements under the supervision of qualified professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in statutory and internal audits, preparing working papers, verifying financial records, and documenting findings. The role also involves supporting tax return preparation, basic tax computations, and compliance-related filings, as well as maintaining books of accounts, reconciliations, and basic financial statements. The Articled Assistant will be expected to research relevant standards and regulations, prepare reports and summaries, and communicate clearly with team members and clients as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lucknow, requiring regular office attendance and participation in client visits.
Qualifications
Enrollment as an article under a recognized professional chartered accountancy program (e.g., completion of CA Intermediate or equivalent as per applicable regulations).
Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and direct and indirect taxation concepts.
Ability to work with accounting software and spreadsheet tools (such as Tally or similar applications, and MS Excel or Google Sheets).
Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear working papers and reports.
Capacity to work in a team, manage time efficiently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing assignment requirements.
High level of professional integrity, willingness to learn, and openness to feedback and continuous improvement.
Preference may be given to candidates residing in or willing to relocate to Lucknow for on-site work.
