Role Description The Safety Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Phalodi tehsil, responsible for promoting and enforcing health, safety, and security standards at the facility. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring workplace conditions, conducting safety inspections, and identifying potential hazards to reduce risk. The role involves developing and delivering safety training, maintaining safety documentation, and supporting compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. The Safety Officer will investigate incidents and near misses, recommend corrective actions, and collaborate with operations and management to implement preventive measures. This position also requires regular reporting on safety performance, participation in emergency preparedness activities, and engagement with staff to strengthen a proactive safety culture.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health knowledge, with familiarity in relevant standards, regulations, and best practices.
Candidates should possess skills in Accident Investigation, including incident analysis, root-cause identification, and development of corrective and preventive actions.
Candidates should possess Security-related awareness and risk assessment abilities to help safeguard personnel, equipment, and operations.
Candidates should possess Safety Training skills, including the ability to design and deliver training sessions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs.
Relevant degree or diploma in occupational health and safety, engineering, or a related field; professional safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA or equivalent) are an advantage.
Experience in industrial, energy, or construction environments, with practical knowledge of site safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and frontline workers.
Ability to maintain accurate records, prepare clear reports, use basic computer applications, and work on-site in varying environmental conditions.
