Business Development Associate

Prospects Universe is a college baseball recruiting advisory helping players and families navigate school targeting, recruiting materials, coach outreach, follow-up, and the path to college baseball.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a motivated, baseball-minded Business Development Associate to help grow Prospects Universe through new partnerships, recruiting initiatives, content ideas, events, and player outreach.
This is a flexible, remote role for someone who enjoys baseball, relationship-building, outreach, and turning ideas into action.
Responsibilities:
Identify and contact travel organizations, academies, coaches, trainers, and baseball decision-makers
Help build academy partnerships and new referral channels
Research new business opportunities, including events, combines, player databases, scouting, and recruiting tools
Assist with outreach, follow-up, social-media initiatives, and partnership materials
Research competitors, pricing, market opportunities, and potential new services
Help test and launch new growth initiatives alongside the founder
Keep organized notes on outreach, partnerships, and project progress
Qualifications:
Baseball background strongly preferred
Comfortable with cold calls, email, text, and social-media outreach
Strong communication and organization skills
Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work independently
Interest in sports business, recruiting, sales, partnerships, or entrepreneurship
Available 10 to 20 hours per week remotely
Compensation:
This is a commission-only independent contractor role with no base salary. Compensation is based on business generated through partnerships, referrals, projects, or initiatives you help create. Exact commission terms will be discussed during the interview process.
