Role Description The Senior Finance Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for Pawtucket Power Associates. This position oversees monthly and quarterly financial reporting, analyzes variances, and provides insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making. The Senior Finance Manager will manage financial controls, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies, and support audit activities as needed. The role includes developing and refining financial models, monitoring cash flow and capital expenditures, and partnering with cross-functional teams to evaluate business cases and investment opportunities. The individual will also mentor junior finance team members and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
Qualifications
Strong skills in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Proficiency in financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and capital expenditure evaluation.
Experience with financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and financial software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems, BI tools).
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring and supporting finance team members.
Experience in the utilities or energy sector is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, MBA) preferred.
Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment with strong self-management and organizational skills.
