Investigative Journalist (Volunteer) - Web3, Crypto & AI

Crypto India Magazine is looking for an investigative journalist to dig into the scams, malpractice and misconduct that the rest of crypto media either misses or looks away from. Rug pulls, fake teams, laundered "partnerships," inflated metrics, exploitative token launches, AI grifts dressed up as innovation. If a project is lying, we want to be the ones who prove it.
CIM is an independent title built on a simple rule: coverage is not for sale. That is what makes this work possible. You will not be asked to soften a story for a sponsor or spike one for a relationship. The newsroom is walled off from the commercial side, and it stays that way.
IMPORTANT: This is an unpaid volunteer role. We want to be completely clear about that up front. There is no salary, no retainer, and no per-piece fee. We are a small independent outlet, and this is a contribution to independent journalism, not a job that pays. Please only apply if that works for you.
What you would do
Investigate and report original stories on fraud, malpractice, and controversy across crypto, Web3, and AI
Verify claims, chase sources, and build stories that hold up to scrutiny and legal review
Work with the editor to shape and publish pieces on the site and, where they fit, in NARRATIVE, our print and digital magazine
