Role Description The Assistant Chief Engineer Electrical is a full-time, on-site role based in Rajahmundry, responsible for overseeing electrical systems and equipment within the plant. Day-to-day tasks include supervising electrical maintenance activities, monitoring power distribution networks, and ensuring reliable operation of power systems to minimize downtime. The role involves supporting electrical design changes, coordinating with other engineering disciplines, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and statutory requirements. The Assistant Chief Engineer Electrical will also lead troubleshooting efforts, guide technical staff, manage documentation, and contribute to planning for upgrades, energy efficiency, and preventive maintenance programs.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering, with practical knowledge of electricity and industrial electrical practices.
Experience in Electrical Design for plant equipment, control panels, and related infrastructure.
Hands-on expertise in Power Distribution systems, including switchgear, transformers, and protective devices.
Knowledge of Power Systems analysis, load management, and reliability improvement techniques.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, preferably in process plants such as sugar or similar industries.
Familiarity with safety standards, electrical codes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Ability to lead and mentor technical teams, communicate clearly with cross-functional stakeholders, and document procedures and reports accurately.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under time and production constraints.
