Business Development Operations Manager

A strong candidate could currently be a Senior Manager, Engineering Manager, Technology Manager, Delivery Manager, Program Manager, or Business Operations Manager who has already started handling responsibilities beyond their own department.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Business Strategy & Growth
Support the CEO/Management in developing and executing business strategies.
Monitor business performance and take corrective actions where required.
Convert company vision into practical business plans and measurable goals.
Track growth, profitability, and overall business performance.
2. Technology Management
Provide technical direction across the company's technology functions.
Review and guide technology architecture, solutions, tools, and processes.
Work closely with technical teams on project planning and execution.
Ensure technology decisions support business requirements and client needs.
Identify new technologies that can improve efficiency, quality, and business growth.
Review major technical challenges and support teams in resolving them.
3. Client & Stakeholder Management
Manage relationships with key clients and strategic accounts.
Participate in important client meetings, discussions, and negotiations.
Understand client requirements and ensure appropriate internal execution.
Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution.
Build long-term relationships and identify opportunities for additional business.
4. Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day business operations.
Ensure different departments are working toward common business objectives.
Monitor project delivery, timelines, quality, and dependencies.
Identify operational gaps and implement improvements.
Ensure smooth coordination between Technology, Sales, HR, Finance, and other functions.
5. Team & People Management
Provide leadership and direction to managers and senior team members.
Set departmental objectives and monitor performance.
Support hiring decisions for critical positions.
Identify skill gaps and recommend training/development plans.
Encourage accountability, collaboration, and performance improvement.
Resolve cross-functional issues within teams.
6. Project & Delivery Oversight
Review important projects and their overall progress.
Monitor timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables.
Ensure client commitments are being met.
Intervene when projects face major risks or delays.
Establish proper escalation and reporting mechanisms.
7. Financial & Commercial Understanding
Review project/resource utilization and commercial performance.
Work with Finance and Sales on budgets and forecasts.
Evaluate the business impact of major investments and decisions.
8. Decision Making
Take ownership of operational and business decisions within delegated authority.
Analyze problems from both business and technical perspectives.
Make data-driven recommendations to management.
Ensure decisions are followed through to execution.
9. Process & Performance Improvement
Review existing processes and identify inefficiencies.
Introduce automation and technology where beneficial.
Establish KPIs for teams and monitor performance.
Improve productivity, quality, delivery, and customer satisfaction.
10. Management Reporting
Tshould regularly report to the CEO
